Our Company

Botley Carpet Cleaners

Botley Carpet Cleaners is a family-owned business, based in Botley, Southampton, and is owned by Angel and Chris Myerscough.

Chris spent 15 years as a manager in the cleaning industry, working 60-80 hours a week, before the birth of their daughter in 2011. Chris decided that he didn’t want to be one of those fathers qho’s absent for most of his child’s life, and the idea of Botley Carpet Cleaners was born. Angel previously worked as a Business Development Manager in the waste industry and decided to join Chris in the family business back in 2015. Angel is an ex-Borough Councillor for Botley and enjoys getting involved in community projects and helping people.

Together they run Botley Carpet Cleaners and its sister Company, Botley Rug Cleaners. The company specialises in carpet and rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning, deep cleaning, and hard flooring cleaning. The environment is very important to both Chris and Angel, so they only use safe, environmentally friendly products. This website is run on zero-carbon energy.

While Chris enjoys fishing with the girls, Angel is a keen photographer and artist.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Botley Carpets Cleaners did an excellent job at cleaning our living room carpet and sofas. The carpet was looking quite stained and was a bit smelly due to having two older dogs, but now it is looking brand new and the living room no longer smells of dog. Really please with the results. Really friendly also and weren’t phased by my two barky dogs. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely thrilled with the results! My cream rug came up lovely and I honestly didn’t think that was possible. They also brought my 10-year-old carpets back to life – they’re so much fresher, cleaner, and brighter than I ever expected.

The service was professional, friendly, and the attention to detail was fantastic. You can really tell they take pride in their work. I’m so impressed with the transformation and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable carpet cleaner. Thank you so much!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From my very first enquiry, Chris replied promptly and booked a date and time that worked perfectly for me. I originally arranged an upholstery clean but later added two bedroom carpets, as we discovered staining after moving into the property. Although the carpets had supposedly been cleaned by the previous tenants, they were left soaking wet. Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and explained that a further clean would be necessary.

The amount of extra dirt he removed was honestly shocking — you can tell he has invested in the right equipment and knows exactly what he’s doing. Both the carpets and the sofa were dry within the hour, which was a huge relief.

Unfortunately, one of the carpets had been ruined by the previous tenants due to damp and mould in the underlay. Chris returned to inspect it further, offered clear guidance, and followed up with a detailed email. His professionalism and care throughout the whole process were outstanding.

I’m extremely happy with the service Chris provided and would highly recommend Botley Carpet Cleaners to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful specialist.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very pleased with the result on what was a difficult job as the stair carpet is communal so receives a lot of footfall. Would definitely recommend.
