Team Overview

Botley Carpet Cleaners is home to Christopher and Angel Myerscough. They met back in 2010, while both working in the waste industry and it was love at first sight, although Angel did take some persuading that Chris was actually serious, but Chris eventually won her round with lots of flowers, teddy’s and a hamster named Ginger.

After the birth of their daughter, Chris decided that he wanted to be around to see her grow up, so he used his extensive knowledge gained from 15 years in the cleaning industry, and founded Botley Carpet Cleaners. Both Chris and Angel are very passionate about the environment and the impact that businesses like Botley Carpet Cleaners can have on the natural flora and fauna of our countryside. This is why they insist on only using environmentally friendly products that are kind to the earth, as well as those with little ones of their own and pets. Every product is also safe to be round those suffering with skin irritations and breathing difficulties.

The company has built a good reputation around the local area and much of it’s work comes from repeat business and recommendations.

Christopher previously spent 15 years as a Manager in the cleaning industry, working between 60-80 hours a week, before the birth of his daughter. When little Isabella was born, Chris decided that he didn’t want to be one of those father’s that were absent for most of her young life and the idea of Botley Carpet Cleaners was born.

Chris is a keen fisherman and can often be found on the banks of our local rivers, together with his two dogs, George and Cooper.

Angel worked as a Business Development Manager in the waste industry and made the decision to join Chris in the family business back in 2015.

Angel is also an ex-Borough Councillor for Botley and enjoys getting involved in community projects and helping people. Angel is a keen artist and photographer and had her first exhibition back in November 2016.

Both Chris and Angel are very passionate about the environment and insist on using, only environmentally safe products, throughout the business.

We are very committed to making Botley Carpet Cleaners a success, providing good quality work at very competitive prices. We regularly attend training courses and keep up to date with the best equipment and products on the market.

I originally arranged an upholstery clean but later added two bedroom carpets, as we discovered staining after moving into the property. Although the carpets had supposedly been cleaned by the previous tenants, they were left soaking wet. Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and explained that a further clean would be necessary. The amount of extra dirt he removed was honestly shocking — you can tell he has invested in the right equipment and knows exactly what he’s doing. Both the carpets and the sofa were dry within the hour, which was a huge relief. Unfortunately, one of the carpets had been ruined by the previous tenants due to damp and mould in the underlay. Chris returned to inspect it further, offered clear guidance, and followed up with a detailed email. His professionalism and care throughout the whole process were outstanding. I’m extremely happy with the service Chris provided and would highly recommend Botley Carpet Cleaners to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful specialist.

The carpets desperately needed a clean and wasnt keen on my 2 yr old grandson rolling around on them!
